Bottle Service and VIP: Worth the money?

Bottle service and VIP are two important elements of today's nightlife scene but some will still argue against whether they are worth the cost.

Going out to a night club is an evening that many individuals enjoy. Whether it’s drinking or dancing the night away with fans, there’s a lot to enjoy. But nights out today are completely different than those from years ago. The culture of dancing and rubbing shoulders with strangers has slowly been replaced by a focus on VIP sections and bottle service. With high price tags to stand around and look exclusive, some wonder if either is worth the cost.

The debate about whether bottle or VIP service at the night club are “worth” comes down to a few simple questions. There are times when the practice can be enjoyable or almost necessary, to those nights when it doesn’t fit into the plan. But there are factors that play into the outcome for each.

Let’s start on the side of the debate where bottle service doesn’t make sense. If you’re heading to a small venue that doesn’t get overcrowded and you have easy access to the bar, then bottle service isn’t worth the hassle. If you can get into the club and not have to worry about getting drinks when you want, then skip the idea entirely. If you’re celebrating and want to go all out, then go for it, but if not save some money and go the general entry route.

But what if you’re partying in a major city like Miami or Las Vegas, that is where things change. Many of these clubs are exceptionally hard to get inside. Women will have a better opportunity than men, but even those ladies must be considered the cream of the crop. One way to circumvent all of that is to reserve a table. Skip the line and the hassle of dealing with guest lists and more, by securing a table that guarantees you access to the club.

That works out even more if you are in a group of guys. The more friends you bring, the slimmer your odds are of getting into the club. Buying a table and splitting the tab among the group helps solve that problem. If you’re lucky to get inside, then you’re going to spend money on drinks any, so take that budget and split it to get the table.

VIP and bottle service are becoming controversial as people long for the days of dance parties. While that disdain is understandable, reservations do have a place in today’s nightlife scene. Take advantage of bottle service when the time is right to get the most out of your night.
