Alice DC is a must-visit new venue in Washington, D.C.
Washington, D.C. features several popular nightclubs, bars, speakeasies, and more throughout its bustling nightlife. Each year, new places open, with many looking to replace staples of the past that may have closed doors. Alice DC is one of those new venues that quickly carved out a strong position as one of the more popular new clubs to check out in the city.
Located right near the corner of 14th and U Streets, Alice DC is in one of the most popular areas of the city. Legions of residents of all ages move up and down this corridor at all hours of the day, especially during the weekend. It brings a unique flare to the industry, as it’s not your typical club – even for a city that features so many different types of nightclubs.
Alice DC is a two-story venue. The first story is a restaurant that specializes in Asian cuisine. That includes items like egg rolls, pho, bao buns, potstickers, and much more. That’s an amazing opportunity to offer food to patrons before they go up to the second level to dance and drink their night away. Even better, the food is exceptional and worth the trip by itself, even if you’re not looking to party all night. The kitchen is open Wednesday through Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
But when you walk up the stairs to the second floor, be ready for a big party. The visual appeal of Alice DC is one of its biggest attractions. Sonny Tran looked to movies like Matrix, Alice in Wonderland, and others as inspiration. The venue also features a few arcade games if you’re thinking about popping in to play a game or a few.
The second story is all about the party. Customers can get their drinks and hookah, reserve table seating, or simply dance the night away. There’s also a back patio deck to enjoy your evening under the DC sky.
If you’re a new resident or established D.C. vet, make sure Alice DC is on your list of places to check out. Of course, you can get your evening of dancing in, but there’s so much more here that makes this place an interesting attraction of the night.
