The Griffith Observatory has a different type of magic than Universal Studios Hollywood, but it is a beloved staple of Los Angeles and a must-see for visitors. If you need a bit of nature in this busy city, check out Griffith Park, the largest urban park in the U.S. It also happens to be one of the best places to get a great shot of the famous Hollywood sign. If you enjoy the underwater world that covers most of our planet, you will love the nearby Long Beach aquarium. This massive aquarium is home to a walk-thru shark tunnel, take a moment with the penguins or make faces at the sea otters within the beautiful teal and shades of blue building. If your heart's set on petting a baby shark, you might have come to the right place. Visitors can also discover the Southern California exhibit, which displays many of the regions sea life. It is a great place to visit and many conferences hold dinners at the aquarium.
